Your Legal Requirements
Legislation under PUWER & LOLER require you to ensure all your lifting equipment is kept in a safe condition and has a valid in date LOLER examination report. We use procedures that will ensure your full compliance with the law, including all legal and safety requirements. Our procedures are continually updated so you can be assured that we will keep you within the law moving forward.
Your testing and maintenance schedule will be tracked by us using our internal systems, giving you peace of mind that you never have an out of date LOLER test certificate and that you are kept up to date with any changes to legislation.

Lifting Equipment Load Testing
At Cranetec we provide proof load testing on all types of lifting equipment, with weights and hydraulic jacks. We will advise you on the most suitable method of testing, which will be completed onsite for your convinience.
LOLER Inspections & Maintenance
Lifting Accessories & Loose Tackle
All lifting accessories and loose tackle must be inspected at a minimum of every six months to be compliant with the LOLER 1998 regulations. Lifting accessories are the pieces of equipment used to attach a load to your lifting equipment. Some examples of lifting equipment are listed below.

When an inspection schedule has been agreed our engineers will complete a thorough examination of your lifting accessories and provide you with a LOLER certificate of inspection. This will outline any observed defects and comments, this will be supplied as a hard copy and in digital format. Following this we will provide you with a competitive quote for the rectification of any defects found.
We will organise a tagging system that ensures equipment outside the current inspection period is easily identifiable so it is not used until it has been re-inspected.
Gantry Crane – Servicing & Maintenance
Regular servicing and maintenance will ensure the long life of your equipment while keeping you inline with the Lifting Operations & Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER) and Provision & Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER).
We will work with you to create an appropriate schedule for your equipments examination to keep inline with LOLER regulations.
All our inspections and servicing will check all aspects of your equipment including but not limited to brakes, anti collision systems, Lubrication of ropes and all moving parts, and the checking of service limits. A visual inspection of the crane gantry beams, support structures and runways. Gantry beams and support structures are often overlooked but should be an important part of any inspection.

Repair & Breakdown Cover – Overhead Gantry Crane and Chain Hoist
Crantec offers a 24 hour breakdown and repair service, we guarantee a response time of 2 hours. After receiving your call an engineer will be dispatched to you within 2 hours. Our callout number will be supplied with the documents we provide for this service.
